The storm of the century rumbles in the wings as five desperate, quirky souls attend a Lightning Strikes Anonymous meeting: John, who's been struck so many times he can't go near an ATM without shorting it out; Blake and Iris, who share an unhealthy need to hook up in empty fields when it starts to rain; Juliet, who has moved on to large appliances; and Paul, compelled to attend the meeting as part of his parole agreement. Utilizing 13th Floor's unique brand of theater that won't hold still, Lightning Strikes Anonymous explores the complex topic of addiction with the company's signature thoughtfulness and wit.
"It incorporates the best of theatre – original thought, sparkling wit and well-structured narrative. But 13th Floor elevates it to a higher plane with the addition of movement...run to see this show before it closes." - Steve Murray, Up & Out
"13th Floor combines theater and dance to create an enthralling hybrid about a most unusual addiction." - Jean Schiffman, SF Examiner

"Brilliantly written and choreographed, often brain-achingly funny, this Alice in Wonderland journey is a whirlwind of mischievous non-sequiturs…marvelous and memorable." - Christopher Bernard , Synchronized Chaos

THE BROKEN KNIFE/ An Original Graphic Novel for the Stage (2015)
Step into a world where time took an unexpected turn, and the earth is dominated by two warring religions - Greek and Norse Mythology. A misfired arrow and a mysterious broken knife ignite a star-crossed love affair, setting off a tragi-comedy of epic proportions. Inspired by the art and dialog of graphic novels like Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman" and Brian K. Vaughn's "Saga", The Broken Knife mixes theater, movement and explosive fight choreography to bring this exciting art form to life on stage.
"The Broken Knife is a joyful mashup of movement, sound and a generous dose of physical comedy that only amplifies this well-crafted story. 13th Floor's latest creation delivers.”

A WAKE (2014)

Set in the home of the family patriarch, the characters slide from the everyday - a drink, a kiss, an argument - into the realms of dream and fantasy.
"This company is that rare aggregation that moves as deftly as it delivers dialog - the intonation rarely rings false...McAllister possesses both a passion for notable literature and a taste for whimsy, rare and welcome attributes in any choreographer." — SF Chronicle
BEING RAYMOND CHANDLER (2013)
Spend a whiskey-soaked night with the 1940's noir/detective writer Raymond Chandler as he attempts to write his latest novel. Haunted by the ghosts of novels past, Chandler's stock characters crawl out of the typewriter when the clock strikes 12:00 and attempt to write themselves in - with hilarious and heartbreaking results.
“Good comedy has an ability to draw you in even as you stay at arm’s length. McAllister at her best — and she is good here — has that gift of playing with perspectives and focus, while keeping the audience off balance. McAllister has also learned from Chandler: Out of all those misfiring plot twists, she pulled together a lickety-split mystery that took off like a rocket.” - SF BAY GUARDIAN
